Do not buy this model of carpet cleaner.
I have had other Hoover Carpet Cleaners and have been totally satisfied. This one has a major design flaw with the collection tank. If the lid isn't on just right, there is no suction. Even after following the owner's manual step by step, I still often get no suction. So I have wasted an incredible amount of time taking it apart, cleaning it, putting it back together over and over after emptying the tank, and I still can't get it to work again. I am incredibly frustrated with this model. Don't buy it! (I got mine at Kohl's)
