Eurow Electrostatic Duster with 3 sections extension pole Review

Eurow Electrostatic Duster with 3 sections extension pole
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My boss bought a bunch of these for the business and gave me one to try.
The first thing I noticed is how light this duster is, despite the 3 extensions. Then of course, the extensions themselves seem to be made of aluminum. Once deployed, I could easily reach the corners of all rooms in the house. When folded, the duster takes only 3.5 feet and fits well behind the door of my cleaning closet. The duster itself can also be used without the extensions as it can be unscrewed from the pole. The high point on my ceiling is about 14 feet in the stairway. Beyond that you would probably need a stepping stool. In any case, I found this duster perfect to get rid of all the spider webs on the porch and dusting the inside of the house. Also the duster itself can bend and was nice for the crown moldings and cabinet tops. I would recommend this product to anyone, especially at that price.

Bags are nice and were meant as a replacement for Bissell VP77. They fit and work but are not a perfect fit (lack locking holes and are a bit too wide). Nothing to worry about and for the cost difference, I will continue to buy these.

Dirt Devil SD40010 EZ Lite Bagless Canister Review

Dirt Devil SD40010 EZ Lite Bagless Canister
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This vac was impressive out of the box. the suction was amazing... for a week. You quickly will discover that his vac takes an enormous amount of TLC. If you have a woman in the house with longish hair, or pets, it will clog up immediately. You have to use your fingers or a tool to pull out the debris EVERY time you vacuum. The filter pad has direct contact with debris, so it need to be replaced or washed every few vacuums. WE VACUUM EVERY DAY.. not carpet.. hard wood floors.. and this vac lasted a month before it completely died, despite all our extra care of unclogging, etc.
I'm not sure what it is supposed to vacuum up. It can't handle hair.. it chokes on anything bigger than a cheerio.
Miserable, awful product. Went into the garbage today.
I suspect it has probably already been discontinued.
PLEASE don't waste your money.

My mother gave me a Fuller Brush electrostatic carpet sweeper since she enjoyed hers so much. I love mine and am wanting to buy another one for my mother-in-law. Too bad Amazon doesn't carry them. They are lightweight, easy to use and pick up dust and dirt very well on various surfaces- carpets, cement floors, wooden floors, or whatever. It's easier on the back than a dustbuster and quicker to pull out than a vacuum cleaner. Although they may not replace a vacuum cleaner, they are easy to use for those in-between times.

Woolite Pet Stain Review

Woolite Pet Stain
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have this in the smaller size. Its not a perfect solution, and I actually prefer Vinegar and Baking soda. I wasn't initially following the instructions exactly, but we all live and learn. I now have my stain treatment in order.
Note: it is very important to pre test on fabric. I was tired and forgot, needed immediate cleaning of sofa. Usually, repeated treatment with Vinegar and Baking Soda would have worked, but used same treatment as carpet. Part of sofa now different color. However, it is old sofa, and is covered with nice kitty throw.
One of my cats occasionally pukes. Its usually a long lasting stain. I used this immediately, as directed - and the puke is gone. Scoop up excess and any debris on floor (paper towels and extra store plastic bag come in handy). Spray and leave on 3 to 5 minutes. Have bucket of warm water ready. Use dust rag/old dish towel to rinse off spray (important - because I wasn't doing this part, carpet had residue and kitty skin was reacting). Switch from dust rag to sponge, try to sop up moisture while rinsing. Follow up with 100% White Vinegar Spray, continue with sponge to wipe deep into carpet (this removes germs, mildew - and provides other cleaning for carpet besides stain removal). Cover with towel until dry. Next day, use towel for wipe up with Hydrogen Peroxide if desired - added benefit.
It gets 4 stars, because cat smell in carpet requires a bit more (and it doesn't clean down deep, sorta masks odors). I've ordered the Bissell QuickSteamer Multi-Surface Upright Deep Cleaner, 2090 to supplement, and use this as a pretreatment as I go throughout the apartment.
All in all, 4 stars for what it does do (at least, some sanitation has been realized).

Hoover Platinum Collection Carpet Cleaner with MaxExtract Technology, F8100900 Review

Hoover Platinum Collection Carpet Cleaner with MaxExtract Technology, F8100900
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We should really be hired to test vacuum and carpet cleaners, but even so the price of this dream clean machine gave me some pause (okay, a lot). With 2 kids, 3 dogs, and 2 cats and fairly light carpets, we put our cleaners to the test. I have gone through SEVERAL carpet cleaners (roughly 1 every 2 years) and have also had the carpets professionally cleaned. Honestly, this carpet cleaner cleaned as well if not better than the pros, and worlds better than our current Hoover F6207-900 SteamVac Lite Carpet Cleaner with Heated Cleaning.
Pros:
1) Handle can lay back fully with no strain on the hose - I mention this after replacing the hoses several times on previous Hoovers
2) You do NOT have to mix the detergent!!!! Wow - what a great feature, no waste!
3) 2 separate rollers actually scrub the carpet amazingly well
4) No fuss dial system - incredibly easy to go between standard clean, spot clean (does not pick up so you can scrub, scrub, scrub away the years of bad carpet cleaners), and rinse (the water rinse is GREAT!)
5) Easy to follow indicator lights let you know if you know when it is cleaning (detergent), rinsing (water only), or drying (neither light on)
6) Spot clean is easy to follow - actually squirts out the front so you can actually see the spot you are hitting (2 settings, spray or stream)
7) My previous Hoovers had this obnoxious detachable hose reel, and then when the clips that hold it on break, you find yourself dragging accessories around the house - this one is not detachable.
8) The hose remains attached, you don't have to plug it in, so no hose door to break and lose (yeah, I've done that too)
9) Scrubber assembly comes off easily for cleaning (but not the front roller, which might be a problem if you don't maintain it)
10) generous cord longer than previous Hoovers
11) 6 year warranty makes it cheaper than replacing 3 $200 Hoovers with 1 year warranties (just check where your service center is - ours is about 30 miles away and always very responsive)
12) Since it is clear plastic (opposed to grey or purple) it is easier to see when the water being picked up becomes fairly clear indicating you have extracted the maximum amount of dirt you can
Cons:
1) It's big - and heavy - and I have tons of stairs
2) Blue light shining on carpet - this gives me eye strain after a while
3) Waste container - there's no delicate way to dump it - it's opening is like a big bucket and it gets everywhere. I suppose it will get better with practice, and it is easier to clean this way, but I think it was a step backward
4) Very small holes to pour in the detergent and water - buy a funnel since the detergent is pricey
5) Detergent guzzler
Eh's (take 'em or leave 'em):
1) Heat - I don't think it really did much (It didn't feel substantial)
2) Waste container sensor - doesn't detect the detergent well, with the clear plastic, it's pretty obvious when they need emptying/filling
3) Blue light - why blue - simulated uv? It doesn't actually illuminate anything.
4) Carry handle - it's made of molded plastic and is in the back, so... yeah, pretty awkward hoisting it up and down the stairs. But, I really don't have a better option, so am not putting it as a con.
How did it do???
If I had known how well it would do, I would have taken pictures or video, because it is unbelievable. I cleaned my ancient 15 year old carpets (about 1600 sq. feet worth) and actually managed to get them back very near their original color. Shockingly old stains that my kidlets provided that were not removed by the pros or the old cleaners are gone. One caveat here is that I used around 64 ounces of detergent. I started with the professional grade, but used the cheap stuff in the kids' rooms (smells better anyway). Based on the amount used and lack of discernable difference, I cannot recommend the "professional" cleaner but instead Hoover 40321130 Premium Pet Formula Carpet/Upholstery Detergent, 128-Ounce, which has what I would call a lemony scent. If you are scent sensitive, then try Hoover 40321128 Deep Cleansing Carpet/Upholstery Detergent, 128-Ounce. I use the 4-for-3 to really make it a great buy. In any event, I took my time actually read the directions for once and made sure I did several dry passes. I took advantage of the spot clean followed by rinse only for high traffic areas, used the powered hand tool on the stairs, and the upholstery brush on our chairs. All works admirably providing results that made the initial investment worth it. The carpets look amazing and were dry within two hours (aided along by a hot day).

When I first used it I thought it wasn't picking up very much as it barely touched the wood chips from my wood carving. Then I opened it to empty and saw the TON of pet hair inside that I couldn't see in the carpet! On the second try it started picking up the wood chips with ease. Does it replace a vacuum sweeper? No, but its great for quick clean up between vacuuming...especially when someone calls to say they were just in the neighborhood...

Eureka Comfort Clean Cord Rewind, 4239AZ Review

Eureka Comfort Clean Cord Rewind, 4239AZ
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have now bought 3 of these vacuums--one for my son, one for myself, and one for my cleaning lady(to use in her home.) My cleaning lady had been using the Eureka Boss Smart which is noisy, heavy, and made her arm ache. She tried my newly-purchased Eureka 3942 and was totally impressed. I decided to get one for her as a gift for dog-sitting my little shih tzu, Buddy.
What surprised me was that I had so much dirt in my carpets that my Sharp and Boss hadn't picked up. Because the dust bin empties out through the bottom, emptying is not a messy task. I didn't think I would like bagless, but find it's an instant-reward system because you see the dirt gathering in the bin as you work. You don't have to assume the machine is doing a good job---you've got the proof.
This vacuum pushes easily and is quiet. The cord rewind is zippy. The few tools fit snugly on the body and include a "power paw" which is like a mini vacuum with beater bar--good for carpeted stairs and upholstery.
I love this vacuum, AND its got a 2 yr. warranty to boot.

Hoover WindTunnel Bagless Upright Vacuum, WindTunnel T-Series, UH70105 Review

Hoover WindTunnel Bagless Upright Vacuum, WindTunnel T-Series, UH70105
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Usually I won't buy a product on Amazon without seeing at least one customer review...but at $100 I thought I'd take a chance. I wanted a lightweight vacuum with good power, one that was bagless, able to pick up animal hair, and wouldn't cost me a fortune long-term with replacement filters. So far, this vacuum fits all those criteria.
PROS
- Easy to put together. It took me about 4 minutes once the pieces are out of the box. A Philips screwdriver is required to secure the handle. There's nothing complicated here.
- Long cord. Plus, there's a little cord clip up near the handle to secure the cord.
- Power. I was surprised to see how quickly this cleaned up and how much it got out of my carpet, even after my Roomba had taken a turn just before. Very good at getting fine cat hair out of a medium-pile carpet.
- Lightweight. You sacrifice a motor (i.e. it's not self-propelled), but the darn thing is so light it hardly matters. I had no trouble pushing this thing around; in fact, I found it easier to push without the motor than my bigger, heavier Bissell bagless vacuum (which weight about 10 pounds more but was self-propelled). It weighs about 15 pounds. Plus, the top of the canister serves as an additional handle for the entire vacuum, so you can pick it up in two different places.
- Easy to empty. The bottom of the canister is hinged. Push the button to unlock the canister from the vacuum, bring the canister to your garbage, and push the latch (easy to do) on the front of the canister. The darn thing just empties right out. (Just be sure you've got it over the garbage when you do!)
- Filters. The packaging says you never need to replace the HEPA filter (located at the top of the canister), and the canister's cone filter is apparently rinsable. I haven't had to deal with either yet.
CONS
One star off because of the little noises associated with operation. First, there was this weird chirping sound for about 5 minutes after using it the first time. It did, however, go away - looks like it was literally a squeaky wheel. And second, once you get something of weight in the canister, like a tiny piece of gravel, it whirls around and around and around...and you hear it whirl around and around...it's pretty loud. But overall, neither of these would keep me from purchasing again.

Hoover H2510 Impulse Cordless Electric Power Mop, Lavender Mist with Mystic Lime Review

Hoover H2510 Impulse Cordless Electric Power Mop, Lavender Mist with Mystic Lime
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Having all hardwood and tile floors, I went on mission to find something convenient to clean with. I read dozens and dozens of reviews on every conceivable type of hard surface floor cleaner. There seems to be 2 complaints about this mop...short charge time, and it didn't get the floor "hands and knees" clean. Well, if you are that anal that you still mop on your hands and knees, more power to you! I wanted something that would clean the floor after a new puppy accident, grandchildren spills and tracked-in mud on a day to day basis. And this mop works great! I can clean all my floors twice on one charge (which is about 1600 square feet, so not huge), and as far as the complaint about the water not staying real hot, news flash, if you use a antibiotical cleaner, you don't need hot water. I have not had any streaks, it picks up all the water and leaves the floor just damp. Apparently, some buyers expected it to leave the floor totally dry...and just how would that be managed? Built in hair dryer? And no, it is not a vacuum; you have to broom sweep first. But who doesn't sweep before they mop?
For the money, I think it's a great answer to the problem. It is easy to fill, easy to empty, and easy to store. I would (and have) recommend it to family and friends. If I had any suggestion for improvement, it would be to lower the brushes about a 1/4 inch to get even better scrubbing action.

Ideal for cleaning hard-surface floors and quickly picking up spills, this cordless electric power mop washes and dries floors in the kitchen, dinette, hallway, bathroom, and other rooms in the house. Fingertip controls make it easy to go from Off to Scrub to Pickup mode. In Scrub mode, the unit's brush loosens dried-on dirt and powers out tough messes. To dry the floor, simply turn the selector switch to Pickup mode and squeegee up excess water. Pickup mode can also be used to suck up liquid spills. For added convenience, the power mop's solution trigger allows for controlling when and how much solution to apply, and its two-tank system keeps dirty and clean water separate.
The rechargeable mop features a sophisticated NI-CD battery and charger. Fully charged, the battery should provide 25 to 30 minutes of normal operation. An indicator light glows red while charging, green when fully charged, and blinks orange when the battery has only two minutes of power remaining. Leaving the mop plugged in when not in use is recommended, so it's always charging and ready to go. Accessories include an AC adapter/charger, for recharging the power mop, and an 8-ounce bottle of Hoover FloorMate Floor-to-Floor cleaning solution, which gently removes tough soil without leaving a residue. Lightweight at only 8 pounds, the portable mop can easily move from room to room. When not in use, the mop sits in its storage tray and its handle fold down for space-saving storage. The cordless power mop measures 7 by 11 by 44 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

Shark MV2010 Vac-Then-Steam Hard Floor Cleaning System Review

Shark MV2010 Vac-Then-Steam Hard Floor Cleaning System
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We have a great room (kitchen, dining, living area) that has slate flooring. After LOADS of research about floor cleaners, I decided to buy a shark steam mop from Costco. I chose this mainly for the cheaper price tag and the great return service at Costco. (I kept the box.) After using it twice I was happy enough but then I saw the 2 in 1 advertise. Reading the reviews online I was torn. I decided to take a chance and ordered the mop through KOHL's using a 30% off coupon. I got the 2 in 1 for the same price as the regular steam mop and I am VERY happy! I have children, no pets and live in the country. We get a LOT of sand tracked in and the vac sucks it right up! My large area rug sheds a lot of wool fuzz and there again... the vac gets it right up. The "snack" crumbs left by the kiddies are also no match for the vac. I am not sure why the other reviewers say the vac suction doesn't work??? If you know slate, then you know it is uneven and has a natural variation in height, other cleaners I have tried didn't work (such as the Hoover Floor Mate). This Shark Vac then Steam mop worked!! It got every bit of debris off of the floor, even in the low spots and grout lines. Due to the uneven nature of slate at times I had to push it a little harder to get over the "bumps" but by no means was this "exhausting" as another person put it. I would even recommend it to my family members who have arthritis, it is easy to use. Switching to steam took the 30 seconds to heat up and then gave a solid steam for the endurance of the cleaning, I had about half of the water left in the container after cleaning. (It didn't run out and I don't feel it needs to be larger.) I like the clean feel it leaves on the floor and would not want to add anything to the water, I shy away from chemicals and extra smells due to allergies. Using the Shark is SO much better then hands and knees cleaning! I highly recommend!

Haan TH20 Tray & Short Handle Accessory Review

Haan TH20 Tray and Short Handle Accessory
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I saw an infomercial for this product one night and thought I would give it a try. I was interested in this product for several reasons: 1) my entire home has wood and hard flooring, 2) I'd love not using additional chemicals and cleaners, 3) I'd love to not be using a mop and scummy bucket, and 4) the re-washable pad looked wonderful.
I got my mop this week and I am so happy with this product. It does what it claims to do. It heats up quickly, my floors dry quickly, and the pad washes well in the washer. The pad is extremely durable and well made. I put it in the washer with some detergent and it cleaned up pretty well.
The actual design of this mop far surpasses the chintzy design of the other popular steam mops available. I noticed right away that it's very sturdy. The handle is telescopic and is easily adjustable.
I've used it on all my floors and small area rugs. It did a marvelous job and even lifted the dirt from my area rug. This is one of the best appliance purchases that I have made in awhile and I recommend it everyone.
